The 2014 Etheria Film Night event on July 12 at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, California is honored to be sponsoring an on-site charity drive for Reel Grrls (www.reelgrrls.org)!
Reel Grrls empowers young women to realize their power, talent, and influence through media production. Reel Grrls is the premier year-round media-training program for girls. At Reel Grrls, girls ages 9 – 21 learn production skills and create transformative media through hands-on workshops and classes taught by female media professionals and educators. Since 2001, over 1000 students have participated in Reel Grrls programs and Reel Grrls media have been honored in more than 90 film festivals globally. Reel Grrls is a 501c(3) non-profit organization located in Seattle’s Interbay neighborhood.
On July 12th, at our Etheria Film Night event, we will be requesting donations of gaffers tape and SD cards (new or used) as well as monetary donations to the organization. Any other production items will be accepted as well. These girls are awesome and deserve our support!
Our on-site Reel Grrls donation drive during the Etheria Film Festival Etheria Film Night “Soulmate” North American Premiere and Etheria Film Night 2014 is being co-hosted by Seed&Spark! We will also be screening Joanna Tepper’s “Let’s Save the Children” directed by Mo Fitzgibbon of Walker/Fitzgibbon TV & Film. This video recently won the Audience Award at Dances With Films and embraces three areas of our mission at Etheria Film Night – woman directed, fantasy elements and focus on children’s charities.
