Director Bio: Natalie Erika James (Creswick) is a Japanese-Australian writer & director and a graduate of the VCA. Her shorts have screened internationally at film festivals, including MIFF, Palm Springs International ShortFest, Flickerfest and Atlanta Film Festival. In 2014, she produced UNDER THE SUN shot on location in Changzhou, China. UNDER THE SUN had its world premiere at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival in the Cinefondation program. Her feature project with Carver Films has received several rounds of development funding through the Screen Australia Gender Matters program, with further support from Film Victoria. She is also attached as a writer/directors on the all-female horror anthology by Unicorn Films. Natalie was awarded the Film Victoria funded director’s attachment on Leigh Whannell’s sci-fi thriller, STEM. She directs commercials and music videos through production company, Fiction (fiction.net.au).
